SSL/HTTPS for Shopp pages or checkout process only

Shopp currently doesn’t redirect you to any SSL/HTTPS pages during any part of the checkout process. Technically, if you are using a 3rd party payment provider, it doesn’t need to, but I’d like customers name/address data to be encrypted and secure.

So we need to force SSL on specific pages.Download the WPSSL (WordPress with SSL) plugin

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wpssl/installation/

Download and install the plugin.
Now edit your Shopp / Checkout / Cart / My account pages and add a custom field falled “force_ssl” with a value of “true”.

  1. Hello,

I’m surely kinda dumb but I don’t understand what you mean by adding a custom field.
The ‘Shopp->Pages’ section of the WP interface does not have an option for adding custom fields.
Do I need to edit the shopp php files? If so, can you please provide same code I need to add to the php files?
