Installing and Configuring SNMP on Windows

Do you want to monitor Windows servers or clients from Cacti or something?

load_average_graph firewall_graph

Add/Remove Windows Components
Network & Monitoring Tools
Check "Simple Network Management Protocol" and "WMI SNMP Provider"
Click OK, OK, OK. You may need your Windows CD.
Once installed, open services.
Properties of SNMP Service
Populate Agent Contact/Location
Check all boxes
On Security tab, Add a community - Name "public", rights "Read Only"
Check "Accept SNMP packets from any host.
Restart the service
