Can’t install the Office Genuine Advantage Notifications (KB949810) update?

Do you get
"Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070643: Office Genuine Advantage Notifications (KB949810)."
Simple. Start the Task Scheduler service.
Office Genuine Advantage Notifications requires the Task Scheduler to be enabled and in the running state as it calls a custom action called CreateSchedule which is dependent on the Task Scheduler service.
If you're like me and like your XP to run at a reasonable speed, you will have disabled all the daft services you don't need, Task Scheduler was one of them. I enabled it, installed the update and disabled it again afterwards.
