‘ is not a valid HTML entity. So why do people use it in RSS?
Yeah, sure it is a valid XML entity, but in RSS, which will more than likely be displayed as HTML eventually, why use it?

Even the BBC use it. Even SimplePie doesn’t do much about it either. A client of mine syndicates from the BBC and the XHTML valid site throws these ugly ‘ over the page.

I wrote a reg ex to strip it out. Problem solved!
