Their site itself says  &#8221;It doesn&#8217;t provide useless bells and whistles&#8221;, but if you need to setup a FTP server, this should be one of your first choices. Following this guideline (Thank you Thomas!), installation was a breeze (just don&#8217;t forget to create the necessary folders for the user- you&#8217;ll know what I mean when you&#8217;ll get there). Had it up in about 15 minutes. Security is a priority with FTP servers and PureFTPD put an emphasis on that. It works on almost any Free OS imaginable. Lastly, there are many walk through&#8217;s and howto&#8217;s on the web (here is another good one). [...]</description>
