Their site itself says  ”It doesn’t provide useless bells and whistles”, but if you need to setup a FTP server, this should be one of your first choices. Following this guideline (Thank you Thomas!), installation was a breeze (just don’t forget to create the necessary folders for the user- you’ll know what I mean when you’ll get there). Had it up in about 15 minutes. Security is a priority with FTP servers and PureFTPD put an emphasis on that. It works on almost any Free OS imaginable.
