DatePicker using Prototype and Scriptaculous

Posted on August 31, 2007

The French have come up with something I've been looking for a long time - a Prototype/Scriptaculous based DatePicker.

For too long I've been using Matt Kruse's Calendar PopUp Javascript. Not that there is anything wrong with it - it has served me well over the years. Sorry Matt, time moves on! I have to provide JS that fits into a central library these days.

The Eulerian script looks very promising. Although I still really like this Unobtrusive Date-Picker Widgit [sic].

  1. I have taken over the project from Mathieu and pushed out v 1.0 w/ customizable date filters. Check it out at its new home: http://code.google.com/p/prototype-datepicker-widget/.
